Born and raised in Jakarta, with a background in Art and Design, Toni Tanumi's practice is devoted to hand-poke tattooing and poker-work.

Exploring ancient, sacred motifs from forgotten Chinese cultures, his work pays tribute to ancestors, tradition, and the enduring story of human civilization.

Rooted in a slow, meditative, handcrafted process, both disciplines honour the natural canvas: skin, wood, and vegetable-tanned leather.

For Toni, tattooing is sacred: an intimate exchange of energy between artist, body, and spirit.
