The Artist
Wana
Wana began studying tattoo art in 1994, and by 2011, it had become his full-time practice. He works across three techniques — traditional hand-tapping, manual tattooing, and machine tattoo — each suited to different kinds of pieces and stories.
Wana mostly works on tribal tattoos and custom spiritual pieces, pulling a lot from old motifs he's picked up from Southeast Asia and Europe. To him it's never just a drawing on skin — it's something personal, tied to who the person actually is.
